  1. I hope they make the items and skill tree/talents interesting and complex. As of now, items look even more watered-down compared to D3.
I know not everyone wants depth but for an ARPG to have support over extended periods of time players need to feel compelled to play. I don't see a world where that can happen if the game is overly-simplistic. Other than that, HYPE!!

  2. I would definitely appreciate more videos from you covering Diablo content. Personally I love Diablo, I played I-III and am looking forward to IV with its return to form for the series.

  3. Your videos are really great. Just want to make a small correction. I haven't read them in a very long time but I believe Lilith was banished to the Void, by either Uldyssian or Inarius, in the Sin War Trilogy, not resurrected. Unless they retconned it going forward. I hope The Hall of Mirrors is in the game, there's a split second the Trailer of an Angel in chains but his face is covered by a hood. That's 100% Inarius. In the Sin War Trilogy he was the most beautiful being in Sanctuary. He was handed over to Mephisto by the Angiris Council when Tyrael's vote saved Sanctuary. He was then taken the Burning Hells and tortured by Mephisto and chained to a Hall with mirrors forced to gaze on his hideous form for all of Eternity.

  4. "I think Diablo 3 was rushed…"
Really? They announced it in 2008 and had this same level of demo available and it didn't launch for FOUR years in 2012. It might've sucked at launch but that doesn't mean they rushed it.

They say it's not even Blizzard soon ™? That bothers me because Diablo 3 was soon ™ in 2008 and, again, it didn't release for four years in 2012. If this isn't Blizzard soon ™ are we looking at a launch date sometime in 2024+? That's a long time mate.

  5. I'm stoked as it looks pretty good so far. Thank you for the additional info, MadSeason!

I forget where I saw it but I remember seeing stuff about Diablo 3 before it got scrapped and redone. It was more aligned to Diablo 2. I also remember hearing about what was supposed to be another expansion after RoS.

  6. A few things completely fucked up DIII for me:

1: The loot. RMAH was a horrible and greedy idea from the start, and it torpedoed my enjoyment of the game almost right off the bat. No matter how long you played, nothing would ever drop for you that was better than what was more easily available on their abominable AH. And Blizzard wanted a cut off every transaction conducted in this game-breaking system. The game became about grinding gold, not loot, because Blizzard's response to the problem was to make good gear almost nonexistant due to all the people who were flooding the AH with stuff. And this it turns out makes hack 'n slash games boring. Who knew? In effect you were playing Diablo without loot being a meaningful part of the game. You knew nothing useful would drop, ever.
2: No map randomization. The main reason I can still pick up and play Diablo occasionally, while I slowly got fed up with Diablo II, since it too had fairly little in the way of map randomization. And DIII obviously had almost none.
3: The difficulties. I wanted to play on the higher difficulty levels from the start because easy was way too easy, but this was not allowed. So I had to faceroll-slog through the entire game twice before I could even play on a proper difficulty setting, by which point I was already sick and tired of the game, uninstalled and never touched it again.
4: Online requirement. Why the F? I play Diablo alone and don't need to be online to do it. Particularly since all I get out of it is lag. More corporate arrogance from Blizzard though, and this was one of the initial reasons I started avoiding them. Have not bought a Blizzard game since Diablo III. And I probably never will.

I am going to need a lot of convincing before I try another Diablo game after the last one. They need to have fixed at least the loot/AH and difficulty shit before I'll even consider it really. Map randomization I have given up on, even though that was one of the biggest things that gave the original Diablo such staying power. They have hired graphic artists and apparently they need to be put to work making Diablo IV limited and boring. I really wish they'd go back to the roots of the genre they basically defined and started with Diablo here, but it's never happening.
PS: And no, I don't care if they fixed any of this after I stopped playing the game. Diablo III was utter shit when it was released and while I played it. Looked like Tarzan, played like Jane. That is Blizzard's fault, not mine. And I am expecting the same again this time.

  7. Being 100% honest here, I got bored of WoW and I haven't watched much of your content in a couple months now, but oh man this video got me very interested. I raise my hand for more Diablo related content!

  8. They are going to fuck it up! i just know it.
    Look @ D3
    Look @ retail wow
    D3/D4 made for console
Idk about their other games but the evidence is clear

Open word? Will there still be dungeon crawling? Open world sounds ok and good as long as we get both. That forced online open world is where the problem lies. Im guessing that will let you choose to have private or open game.

I started to make a list but eh maybe another time. Basically i want the game to follow Diablo II formula and way less of Diablo III.

What i think we will get is basically a slightly upgraded slightly better Diablo III with 25% WoW genes included. It will not be the Diablo IV we all want.

Wtf is up with the druid and those bullshit skills. We do not want to constantly be changing forms like that. We want a shapeshift skill exactly like Diablo 2. Also the barbarian with 4 different weapons? They are making this game into too much busy work, curious to see how thats done with 6 skills active? I guess alot of skills will be bound to specific weapons requiring you to carry them, also bullshit if true.

Also what about the fucking skills! We will get Diablo 2 version where us PC Players! can bind basically every skill to a key? I fucking doubt it. Instead that will lock us into what 6 skills? 1-4 and mouse clicks? Diablo 3 is such a shit game….These devs are just leftover wow fuckers put to work. CLMF's or console loving mother fuckers

Just recently started on Diablo III btw, the game just pisses me off its so easy even on expert which is the highest a new player can go. Level 30+ before act 2 wtf!! and already got like 10 shit legendaries. FUCKING JOKE of a game i tell you what, wish i could bitch slap everyone who was involved in making it. You would basically need to solo the game naked or nearly naked for any real challenge. Also fuck rifts, that is not end game content. Congrats on finding something for mentally insane people to enjoy.

Also forced online only? TOTAL BULLSHIT
    No single player offline?

    /rant over for now

  9. I think with Path of Exile being online only it's basically allowed them to feel safe making this online only. Druid looks pretty good, it makes me think of a wow druid crossed with an enhancement shaman, I hope they bring necro into it. I feel they will want a demon Hunter and some kind of third melee class. But who knows.

  10. Regardless of what people say, your view count is going to tell you everything you need to know about whether people are interested in you talking about Diablo. I'm interested in you branching out a little though.
