Ghost Recon Breakpoint gameplay – We've played it

We’ve played Ghost Recon Breakpoint and it’s so macho. Of course, the series has always been a hoorah mix of special forces action and big explosions, but …

  1. I really don't like the survival elements. I don't want to have to sit through 10 second bandage animations when you get shot, or have to eat and drink in my spare time. Or, from another video I saw, pick flowers to make healing potions… like what the hell is that. All I wanted was a more tweaked version of WL. Send up a drone, mark targets, and go in stealthily and take them out. All that, plus tiered loot? This isn't the division. What happened to just finding guns and modifying them how you want? I'm sorry I don't think I'll be buying this.

  2. WHY NO OFFLINE MODE IS A BIG DEAL

It’s not just about your own connection. Although that is a factor — especially when you intend to play a game solo.

It’s not like watching a movie, and you connection flutters, or goes down for a minute or two will result in seeing the film buffering. In a game it often kicks you out to a main menu.

So yeah, it’s a big deal, even if you have s good connection (which I luckily do).
But that’s one side of it.

    FYI …….

This is Ubisofts support twitter feed.
Each comment is by a different player. Note that it’s nothing to do with their personal internet connection.

    “Fix your F*cking game!”

    “Fix Siege it’s unplayable!”

    “Gotta love Seige”

    “I swear there’s a problem everyday..”

“Yesterday I was not able to play Siege now this ? Come on guys -_- “

“Fix it it’s been down for 2 days”

“Good thing Wildlands can be played offline”

Gives a clearer picture as to why people don’t like games to require a persistent connection.
On multiplayer games, well this experience goes with the territory, but for a game/franchise that has primarily focused on singleplayer (historically) — requiring a persistent connection is especially egregious. Particularly when there’s no logical reason other than fitting Ubisofts new business model.

  3. Looks very cool, I'm a bit bummed that it's so futuristic, drones and all.
Couple of things I noticed that don't look good are the weapon sounds/animations when shooting, they look weak.
And the enemy seems to be invisible and bullets just pass through until they fall instead of actual impacts

  4. Man a multiplayer game mode where you have like a 5 v 5 with one team setting up camp and hiding to ambush guys while the other team has to find them or reach a certain point would be amazing. They could really make an amazing multiplayer and single player experience.

  5. Have you really played it? and is this the footage? because I have just watched the official Ubisoft one and yours is an edited version of theirs? or vice versa? I am not being and ass I just want to know the facts about this awsum game

  6. The thing I find with the mud scene is never in the game will that happen to you unless its a set piece, you'll lather yourself up with mud and an enemy will be already watching you do it then somehow not see or instantly have everyone notice you without a callout, this little scene seems to perfect to happen in the game. at least MGS5 showed stealth going through a camp, this scene shows you laying in mud with a team walking around you conveniently, I don't trust ubi games until they are out because what they show of gameplay always seems to good to be true when the games out, and they got a track record of this.

  7. I hope that when you need to get your own intel that you really have to learn it instead of just have to photograph or ask a person like in wildlands. I want to sneak up on some guards to overhear a conversation and then learn about a situation that I can do. I do not mind to capture intel but make it a bit harder then just sneaking in a photgraphing

  8. It’s ALWAYS ONLINE — which sucks …

Your connection goes down — no play
    Server maintenance — no play
    Server problems — no play
Big Update released — no play until you’ve downloaded
A few years down the line, Ubisoft move on and switch off servers — no play EVER
