  1. Well isn't a trebuche a type of catapult operated by gravity and not tension? Like the object in catapult is being yeeted by the force that has been loaded in while arming it wile a trebuche (or what ever) functions by gravity as in, a smaller chunk of rock is singled by the force of a bigger rock falling attached to the machine.

  2. Elyse is nearly doing an 80s rock music video thing with her style here (she just needs some spiked denim), and it's pretty cool. I hope she inspires others to dabble in that style too.

  3. Different b/w a catapult and a trebuchet is the launching mechanism. Catapults store potential energy in twisted ropes or flexed wood, and the release of that tension flung a projectile. Ballista's (giant crossbows, essentially) used essentially the same mechanism. Trebuchets used a counterweight and a sling to launch projectiles at high speeds with high accuracy, and were much more dangerous. They could also be fired at a much faster rate and were a lot more durable than a catapult.
